Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen The war between Autobots and Decepticons continues with Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox retuning to help the automotive robots save the world from Evil. Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) heads off to college to continue a normal life, l he soon is caught up were the other movie left off , in an over the top battle of giant robots that can masquerade as regular automobiles .OK, well as you probably have guessed I am really late on this review because, I don’t like to write negative reviews and this movie was below pair and too long, about 20 minutes too long. In the first film 2007’s Transformers there was a innocence to the film, a sense that even older viewers were ok watching a film with a child like plot and this film with its bigger, longer and louder storyline lost in my opinion that whole vibe. Megan Fox looked like an angel and is almost upstaged by her new nemesis Isabel Lucas who plays yes you guessed it a Decepticon that can change shape and just happens to be a drop dead gorgeous blond.
One of my favorite actors Hugo Weaving returns to voice Megatron, the Decepticon leader and added needed conttinuaty to this even growing lineup of new robots. The budget for this film was out of this world from what I’ve read and with the scope of the battle scenes and the cost of the star studded cast I can see that this was no walk in the park to make. But, like I said this whole thing is just out of control, with crashing robots though buildings and lack of a serious plot line, the first film had a story that although complex was at least easy to follow. The original movie plot of classic good vs. evil and a subplot of a geeky guy getting the girl and the car of his dreams in just watered down. So, new movie has lost he magic that the first film had, I am a smart guy, with a collage degree believe it or not I has kind of lost the story. With that said this movie is fantasy and there are no bounds to fantasy, so I guess I’m contradicting myself but Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen will find its audience this summer, even if they are teenagers who are looking for a video game on film. Hey maybe there cheat code hints for the video game during this movie?
