The Hangover is a 2009 comedy film directed by Todd Phillip The Hangover starts as Doug (Justin Bartha) is about to be married and scenes of all the things that go on with the run up to a wedding , so his two friends and his new soon to be brother in law have a bachelor party in Las Vegas. His friends Phil (Bradley Cooper), Stu and Doug's soon to be brother-in-law Alan (Zach Galifianakis) all are there for one last send off. They get a suite in a hotel and sneak on to the roof to toast the night; they wake the next morning to set of clues to what the nights activities entailed. Oh no, Doug is missing and there is a tiger in the bathroom, a baby in the closet stue is missing a tooth, and Doug has left his cell phone behind. They then got to get the car from the valet and he brings them a cop car, ok this is just the beginning of this wild comedy and there’s a whole lot more to come. This movie is very funny and is filled with some great one liners and a plot that is well written and pulls you into this wild story. What surprised me was the quality of the images the cinematography which for a comedy is very well done. I found this quote from one of the actors Ed Helms, which I really liked about this film and I couldn’t have summed up myself better "I think part of what’s special about this movie is that none of the comedy comes from the characters being clever, like you see in a lot of sitcoms or movies, where the characters actually have a funny sense of humor.” This is what makes this film very special I would suppose, the characters situation and the resulting escapades are what really make this worth watching. I give this a thumbs up and if you want a good chuckle this movie has some great funny scenes, but this is no Wedding Crashers, this film is more more raw and for a more adult audience. ![]() ![]() Directed by Todd Phillips Produced by Todd Phillips, Daniel Goldberg Written by Jon Lucas, Scott Moore Starring Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Heather Graham, Justin Bartha, Jeffrey Tambor, Sasha Barrese Music by Christophe Beck Cinematography Lawrence Sher Editing by Debra Neil-Fisher Studio Legendary Pictures Distributed by Warner Bros. |
